Michele Carey, the daughter of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr, the physician, along with Thelma Henson, the homewife she was born Michele Lee Henson on February 26th, 1942in Annapolis, Maryland, United States of America. She had a prodigious piano playing as a teenager and she took home the national prize in the Chicago Music Festival at just thirteen years old. Fort Collins High School, in which she got her high-school education in 1960, was the place that her family moved to. To improve her professional prospects she relocated from Colorado to Los Angeles.
